Any way to skip building the engine from source for GameLift?

Sorry for the naïve question. Is there any way to skip building the Unreal engine from source? I was thinking perhaps using UE4 linux runtime containers would that perhaps allow me to not have to build it from source? If so how would I do that?

Well, you have to think about the tools that UE offers. Remember that you don’t have any Linux engine installer binaries, so the compilation process is very necessary.

So if you find a way to create some runtime containers, I don’t think that makes a difference because when you need other internal functions of Unreal you will need the changes to be applied… Building the engine.
Sorry if my answer doesn’t help, but I’m also using UE4 Linux and I don’t see another way :sweat_smile:
