Computer meets the specs and has the requirements installed.
New install on two different computers, When launching the editor the AssetProcessor starts and begins to process files then locks up after about 30 seconds.
I have rebooted, left it running for hours with no change.
Tried starting it with a brand new empty project…
Tried deleting the cache, nothing works.
Cannot run the editor without the assetprocessor.
We’ve received several reports of the Asset Processor failing to compile assets or freezing and preventing the editor from running. It sounds like you’ve already tried the recommended troubleshooting steps of restarting the Asset Processor and clearing the cache folder. Here’s some other recommendations I have:
- Check if you have anti-virus or anti-malware software running that might be preventing the editor from connecting to the Asset Processor.
- Make sure the Asset Processor is not being blocked by Windows Firewall
- Verify that the editor (local IP address) is listed on the Connections page of the Asset Processor. If you don’t see any connections listed on that page then that means the editor is not able to connect.
- Check that the path where you installed Lumberyard doesn’t have spaces in it.
Please let me know if any of these fix the problem for you.
