Global setting for Update Materials?


Is there a global setting for Update Materials in the fbx settings? Automatically it is set to being unchecked and I was wondering instead of checking each model setting manually, if there is a global setting for this?




There is not a global setting for this. This setting updates an existing .mtl file to use the settings from the .fbx file. Specifically it update the texture map file names.

Yes, we came to a similar conclusion when any name change to the applied model material from Maya caused asset processing errors and causes the fbx to disappear. Having to revert back to the older version to change this setting worked.
