HELLO COMMUNITY WHAT IS THE COMPONENT I HAVE NOW AND HOW IS IT USED?

is this some form of a quiz or something?
You have there an Empty Entity it says so with the name “Entity2”
You’d understand more if you read the documentation or follow some tutorials online.

Hi that is the entity that is blank, but the component is the footsteps, and from what I am aware of it is more or less not usable until you have a game set up. It is used to allow footstep sounds when your character is walking around. Hope this helps! :+1:

So in lumberyard, a component is a small unit of behavior that you want for you game, and an Entity is small logically unit of behaviors. The “Footstep” component listens to animation events(from either EmotionFX system or the legacy animation system), and send that information to the material system, so that water effects and other surface effects can happen, Like splashing water if you run into the a puddle of water, or footprints in the snow.
