Like RayCast but for non physical objects?

In my multiplayer game i have structure were client(owner) have physical character, but all other players from another clients is not physical. All physics calculate on dedicated server only. And for me need select some object in game by clicking mouse and for this situation i can`t use RayCast (working only for physical objects). The question is: Have a way in (c++) to detect EntityId using mouse if that entity is not physical ?

Solved, if get IStatObj, and use in him RayIntersection() all worked perfect. This function return true if we have hit with him.
