I’ve been enjoying using Lumberyard and am using it to greybox some level prototypes. Part of this workflow involves rapidly scaling geometry and usually not uniformly.
I appreciate that by default the scale tool has ‘Lock Scale’, on as I imagine people are usually resizing art assets.
However, when I turn it off it’d be nice for it to stay off. But when I switch to any other edit mode and back to scale it turns the lock toggle back on.
I’ve had a poke through the editor preferences to see if I can fix this, or bind a hotkey to it, but I haven’t found anything.
You can enable this by going to Edit -> Editor Settings -> Global Preferences and then tick Enable New Viewport Interaction Model (you’ll have to restart the Editor to see the changes).
Not all features are currently supported but we’d love to hear your feedback on the new tools (we have updated Manipulators and several operations). Do have a read through the docs first as there are quite a lot of helpful shortcuts to speed up your workflow. We also have an overview video you can check out here - https://youtu.be/9tP0_f4pGD8
