Maya Rig Import Problems

Hi I am importing a FBX from Maya and the model itself comes in fine but the skeleton rig gets all kinds of messed up. It looks good in Maya and then looks like this:

Is there something I should be doing from exporting Maya to Lumberyard?

I talked with my artists some more and found that he wasn’t exporting them the way Lumberyard was asking. I believe he was including animation with the skeleton mesh export. I followed these instructions (ignoring all mention of Legacy Geppetto) found here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lumberyard/latest/userguide/char-fbx-importer.html
