Are there now, or are there any plans to incorporate source control features or plugins? (Perforce, Git versioning support, etc.)?

If we could get a list of files that should not be checked in, a .gitignore file example could be generated so that people could use git if they prefer. I prefer.
Obviously we could start with those files which Visual Studio .gitignore files include, but from there, knowing which files are generated and not needed to be checked in by developers would be helpful.
